Consumer-Directed Services

Personal Care: Bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene.

Toileting: Ostomy or catheter hygiene, bowel and/or bladder routine, general toileting activities.

Health: Use of transfer devices, passive range of motion, medication assistance, treatments etc.

Housekeeping: Cleaning, dusting, changing bed linens, laundry, trash.

Meals: Meal preparation, washing dishes.

Transportation: Shopping, errands, school or employment.

Consumers Must: 

Have active Medicaid coverage

Be a Missouri resident

Be at least 18 years of age

Have the ability to direct their own care

Have a medical condition/diagnosis/disability that would 

qualify for a higher level of care outside the home

CDS Attendants Must:

Be at least 18 years of age

Pass a criminal background check 

(Waivers may be issued in certain circumstances)

Note: Caregivers can be a family member or friend of the consumer
(with the exception of spouses)
